Pancreatitis: Hi. Pancreatitis usually requires hospital admission for IV fluids and bowel rest. Pancreatitis can be caused by many things including alcohol, various drugs, gallstones, very high triglycerides, etc. If a doctor gave you that diagnosis, hopefully you are being managed properly.
