A member asked:

I've got an adult friend who's left testicle ascended into his body today and hasn't dropped back down. any thoughts as to what could cause this?

Hypermobility: An adult male with a testicle that has migrated up into his abdomen (is not palpable) or into his groin, and does not immediately return to the scrotum is at risk for torsion and should be seen/treated by a urologist asap. He will likely require surgical "fixation" of both testicles ("orchiopexy") into the scrotum.
