A member asked:

In tetralogy of fallot, will the eyes also appear bluish?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not really: During a hyper cyanotic or "tet" spell, the unusually deoxygenated blood will be blue instead of red. Consequently, any typically red or pink areas (eg, lips, tongue, fingertips, mucus membranes) will likewise assume a bluish hue. The inner aspect and outer margins of the eyelids will be blue, but the sclera (the normally white area) should still be white.
