Very rare: Disorder affecting mostly adolescent males. Typically, abrupt episodes of excessive sleep (up to 20 hours) which goes on for days to weeks then stops. Can be associated with emotional symptoms and uninhibited sex drive. Failure to remember episodes afterwards is common and individual returns to normal in between episodes. No tests as it is a clinical diagnosis, and can be misdiagnosed like any.
