A member asked:

Can an asperger's syndrome adult be misdiagnosed with ocd?

Certainly: Different psychiatrists have different training and experience. Many have very limited exposure to ASD resulting in frequent mis DX as they treat the sx they recognize but don't have enough experience to know what to make of the "asd type" sx. It is also possible to have aspergers and OCD that needs to be identified clinically and specifically treated.

It is possible: There are overlapping symptoms between these two illness. In fact, there is a school of thought that sees these things on a spectrum of distraction but with different ages of onset. See theemergencesite.Com/tech/techissues-autism-ocd-aspergers-add.Htm - 55k.
