Mole: Gestational trophoblastic disease (gtd) defines a heterogeneous group of interrelated lesions arising from the trophoblastic epithelium of the placenta. The different histologic subtypes include complete or partial hydatidiform mole, persistent/invasive gestational trophoblastic neoplasm, choriocarcinoma, and placental site trophoblastic tumors.
