Change: Cut the volume of the night feeds in half to allow baby to shift calorie intake to day focused feeds. After a transition period, substitute water for the feeds. As the baby takes more during the day, the need for calories is gone.If you are feeding at bedtime, you may have trained baby to need to eat to fall asleep, stop. Separate feeds from bedtime and the problem may end.
