Varies: It is not necessarily abnormal to have breast milk continue after weaning. I would be increased by any breast stimulation such as with sexual activity or a poor fitting bra. If you are having regular periods, there is little concern. If no periods you would need a medical evaluation by an endocrinologist to be sure there is not a pituitary problem.

Could be hormonal: You should get your prolactin level checked. Certain medications such as risperadone cause milk production even in women who have never been pregnant.
