Depends: Right now they are stored, these cells currenttly can be used for an autologus (self) or allogenetic (to some one else) bone marrow transplant.

Tissue/organs: Is the substrat of the biofactury of the future, preserved stemcells are used by specialized/scientific research centers for tissue/organs biofacturing when the donor needs it. Still is in research/applicable phase.
