Yes..but..: Fifteen percent of the US population is Rh negative making it less common but not rare. The blood group (O,A,B,AB) are also factors with AB negative the rarest at .6%. Hospitals bank O negative blood (the universal donor) for emergency use to anyone. It can certainly be a factor in planning but worry won't change the outcome
