No, : Hereditary vitamin d-resistant rickets (hvdrr). Hvdrr, an autosomal recessive disorder, is a very rare form of rickets. It is associated with end–organ resistance to Calcitriol usually caused by mutations in the gene encoding the vitamin d receptor. Dna testing of fetal cells obtained by amniocentesis may detect gene mutation. Both sexes are affected by the disorder.
