Starting tomorrow (tues) dr. is taking me from 60 to 40 cymbalta (duloxetine) in hope of reducing racing thoughts..how long until a steady state is reached at 40?

Time to SS varies: Theoretically, steady states of drugs occur within 5 normal dosing interval periods of drug. In other words, if the drug is taken once daily then, ss is expected in 5 days...If every 12 hrs. Then, 2-3 days, etc. Going back down is approximately the same dynamic based upon the drug's metabolism out of the body. In reality each individual is different therefore, times to ss going or down can vary.
