Sometimes and no: A rough guideline for HCG to fall is that it takes the same amount of time to drop as it did to rise; many are surprised that it can take weeks to go to zero (this is a rule of thumb, not a guarantee.) sometimes HCG does not drop appropriately; there are many reasons this could be. You cannot ovulate at all with an elevated hcg.
