Can be: If advanced, it is almost always deadly. If caught early, it can be cured in a good number of cases. Routine screening should begin at age 50 but in cases of strong family history or a known genetic problem, it can be started earlier. If you see blood in the stool or have any funky GI symptom, visit your doc. Also, eat well and exercise.
