Blood clot in lung: A pulmonary embolism is a blood clot that travels to the lung from a vein elsewhere in the body, often a leg vein there are called deep venous thromboses or dvts). Clots can form in the veins for a number of reasons, including trauma, immobility, and conditions that predispose you to form blood clots.
