Be patient: Children have a spectrum of their sensitivity to pain. Some are very sensitive. When a child is hurt you accnowledge that the injury hurts and then encourage them to find a way to cope with the pain. Distraction and redirection are helpful tools. If a child's pain sensitivity interferes with their ability to function and enjoy life you should consult their doctor.
