A member asked:

What is the difference between muscle pain and bone pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Different origin: Muscle pain is due to anoxia that develops in the muscle which when at rest usually resolves. Bone pain is due to the expansion of periosteum with a lesion within the cortex that enlarges to impinge on the periosteum. One of the factors causing muscle pain is build up of lactic acid dehydrogenase.
