Halitosis: Halitosis has many causes, both medical and dental. There are many mouthwashes that help control bacteria. It's just an aid. You can't rely on this alone and it certainly won't make up for not practicing good oral hygiene or for existing and untreated periodontal problems (gum disease). Rule out medical causes and consult with a periodontist who can personally examine and evaluate your situation.

Halitosis: In the majority of cases, the cause of bad breath or halitosis, is the product of bacteria in the mouth and gum disease. The proper diagnosis is the key to a successful treatment. See your dentist for Halimeter test, diagnosis and bad breath treatment that depends on its cause. Good luck.
