Hello: The antiseptic its not the cause of candidiasis, usually oral candidiasis is not presented unless the person is under immunological suppression. Candidiasis is an opportunistic fungus. Used appropriately the antiseptic mouthwash is not capable of totally destroy all the bacteria in the mouth.

Mouthwash: Suppresses bacteria, both good and bad, but not to the point where it would allow fungal overgrowth. It also has very little effect on gum disease or tooth decay. Brushing combined with flossing is light-years more effective. If you think you have an oral fungal infection you will need to see your General Dentist or General Physician for examination, confirmation, and appropriate treatment.
