Can you give me suggestions on relieving pain for a slipped disc?

Herniated disc: A slipped disc is the same as a herniated or ruptured disc. It is torn cartilage between two vertebral bodies that leads to pain from pinched nerve. Anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxer medications and ice are often the first step to obtain relief. Physical therapy or chiropractic care are helpful too. Steroid dose pack, anti-convulsant, and anti-depressant medications can reduce nerve pain too.

Get eval: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) can help with both pain relief and in reducing inflammation. Examples are ibuprofen (like Advil, Nuprin or Motrin), Naproxen sodium (like Aleve, (naproxen) Naprosyn, Anaprox) or Asprin (such as Bayer, Ecotrin, Ascriptin). Avoid NSAID's if pregnant or allergic to them. In that situation can consider acetaminophen.
