Could you explain to me what hlhs is?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Heart defect: Hlhs refers to a congenital heart defect called hypo plastic left heart syndrome. This is serious, life-threatening heart defect, requiring multiple surgeries and prolonged hospitalization for survival. Typically, there is underdevelopment of the left ventricle, abnormalities of the aortic and mitral valves, and narrowing of the aorta. Pge1 (misoprostol) therapy can be life saving after birth.
