Rare eye disease: Serpiginous choroidopathy is a rare "posterior uveitis" of the eye, which is an inflammatory process affecting the back part of the eye including the retina and underlying choroid. It is more common in middle age men, and can affect both eyes. Lesions in the retina spread in a snake-like manner and may threaten the central vision. Treatment is with system meds like cyclosporine and azathioprine.
