Hi doctors, can you tell me what is ketotifen recommended for?

Depends . . .: Thanks to my colleagues, I learn something new every day. For instance, Ketotifen, an antihistamine, is only available in the States to treat allergic conjunctivitis (http://www.drugs.com/mtm/ketotifen-ophthalmic.html). However, outside the States, oral Ketotifen is used for asthma too (http://www.drugs.com/cons/ketotifen.html), more prevention than rescue. So your answer depends upon where u live
