OTC whitening: Your pharmacy will have many products that you can purchase to whiten your teeth at home, from toothpastes to gel kits. How well they will work on you is unknown. If you are asking about household chemicals that you have for other purposes, there are none.

Home whitening: Start by using a whitening toothpaste which does little more than remove stain. Do not use regularly as it's too abrasive for long term use. Of all the store bought products, crest whitestrips works best (in my opinion) but has definite limitations. You should see your own dentist first to make sure you have no cavities and no gum problems! for best results you will have to consult with a dentist.
