A member asked:

Can adrenal insufficiency deplete steroids in the human body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

By definition: Hi. Yes, adrenal insufficiency is the state of the adrenals being incapable of making enough adrenal steroid hormones (cortisol & aldosterone in primary adrenal insuffic. and cortisol only in pituitary/secondary adrenal insuffic.). Obviously no effect on gonadal steroid hormones.
