Could an implanted greenfield filter in the vena cava artery cause hyperthrophy of the heart?

No: A greenfield filter can't cause hypertrophy of the heart because it is upstream of the heart. In general the heart hypertrophies because of a blockage downstream leading to higher pressure within the heart (just like when you put your finger over a garden hose).
