LASIK alternative: Lasik involves eye correction under a corneal flap and is predictable and comfortable. Prk involves direct laser correction with making a flap. Healing is less comfortable but the final results are the same. Some think prk is a little more stable and due to possible traumatic risk to a lasik flap, the us military mostly does prk.
