Definitions: The carotid artery: main artery(s) one on each side of the neck supplying the brain. Femoral artery: one in each side of the groin , main supply to each leg. Edema means tissue swelling. Post traumatic auto-anesthesia: a pain free state as a result of trauma (usually massive).
