Problem: Enema or laxatives need to move! if not soon need to see the surgeon , be examined and impact ion disrupted. Postoperative dehydration and narcotics for pain are common cause.

Narcotics : Opioid induced constipation is a common side effect of narcotics. The short duration of action of the meds you received as a part of your anesthetic are unliky to produce prolonged constipation. Your problem is probably related to the post op pain meds prescribed. Try collace (a stool softener) and sennokot (a laxative) as well as staying hydrated. A fleets may be needed. Call your doctor.
