A member asked:

Could eye stye make you lose vision?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Styes are in the lids, can be uncomfortable and unsightly but do not affect the vision except for the minor issue of excess tearing as the eye attempts to ward off the effects of the stye. Permanent vision loss would be extraordinarily rare and probably indicates something other than the stye.
