Nothing unless . . .: Blood pressure is supposed to vary depending upon a number of variables, one of which is your position. All else being equal, BP is lowest when lying down & highest when standing up. There shouldn't be much of a drop from lying down to sitting to standing up. For diagnosis & treatment of high blood pressure eg hypertension, we measure when sitting but only after a few minutes. Go see ur family doc
