All of them !: The real question is what slows down healing. Avoid applying alcohol, peroxide, hibiclens, betadine, and bleach solutions. Inflammation ( red, hot, swollen, tender) is important to healing so anti-inflammatories (motrin, advil) are bad. Cover with a clean dressing changed every other day/protect from trauma. Antibiotics do not help healing unless it is truly infected. Good nutrition is key !

Protein Best: Your body needs both energy ; the building blocks for new tissue to heal. This means that you should eat more calories than normal, porportionate to the damage from the surgery. However, this should be the right kind of calories. Protein is best. A normal diet should consist of equal amounts of protein, carbs and fat. For best wound healing, the increase should be in protein. Add zinc ; vitamin c.
