See answer: Food, drinks and vitamin supplements can change odor of urine. Eating asparagus and drinking coffee are two of them. Asparagus leaves distinct smell to those people who have a particular gene that allows one to smell it and urine frequently smells like coffee after drinking it. Vitamin b6 is most common vitamin to alter the normal odor of urine. The more concentrated the urine, the easier 2 smell.

Some foods and meds: Anything that is excreted in the urinary tract can cause your urine to smell. The classic food that causes a strong smell in the urine is asparagus. Some medications, especially antibiotics (e.g., penicillins) can also cause a strong smell in the urine.

Many Reasons: Urine is a filtered byproduct from our blood and stored in the bladder until release. Urine's odor can change with certain foods like asparagus or coffee but also with infections. If you are experiencing other symptoms like abdominal pain, pain with urination, urinating more frequently, or significant change in urine odor and color, then i would recommend evaluation by healthcare provider.
