2-3 days: If you just had arthroscopic partial meniscectomy w/o anything else wrong(i.e. Articular cartilage wear) your pain should be much improved after 48-72 hours.If you had 'chondroplasty' or other procedures done then it may take longer. Depends: It depends somewhat from person to person. Most of the perioperative pain from the surgery should be gone by 2-4 weeks and then you should usually be a lot better. If you are 56 years old and had a partial menisectomy and still have pain 12 weeks or more after your arthroscopy, i suspect you might have had some underlying chondromalacia as well. Thank you.
