A member asked:

Oraquick mouth swab 4 weeks and 12wks negative can i trust this ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Oroquick: There are no tests that are foolproof and which do not have some percentages of false negative results. If you have had a potential exposure to HIV you should go and be tested using the 4th generation antibody testing techniques, or if you can afford it, get pcr for HIV rna. Suspect it will be negative, but better safe than sorry.
