Nucleic acid test: You may wish to talk to your doctor about getting a nucleic acid test for HIV.

HIV negative: It is very unlikely to get false negatives on two separate tests. It is very unlikely to get even one false negative on these tests. You are HIV negative and do not need any further testing.

Likely free of HIV: If a correctly done test was negative at more than 6 months after exposure, you are likely free of HIV. To be sure, you could get a HIV nucleic acid test that would be more definitive.
