A member asked:

What can i use to treat a soar throat while pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Acetaminophen: Is the safest pain medication in pregnancy. Often sore throats are due to post-nasal drip. You can use saline nasal spray to clear out the mucus. Most other over-the-counter cough/cold medicines are considered safe in pregnancy, but there have been few studies to prove their safety or danger. Avoid Ibuprofen or naproxen.
