Is there any symptomatic difference between retinal tears and detachments? like are rrd almost always involves both increased flashes and floaters?

Retinal Detachment: Retinal tears may be non-symptomatic or have the three signs of retinal detachment, lightning flashes, shower of black spots and field loss or curtain in field of vision which are retinal detachment signs.
