A member asked:

My doctor prescribed me first bromazepam for sleeping disorder for 2 weeks and now he prescribed me xanax (alprazolam).what's the difference of these 2 meds?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Poor hypnotics: Neither one of these is a good hypnotic. Bromazepam is only a hypnotic at high doses. Xanax, (alprazolam) when studied in a sleep lab, loses its hypnotic benefit within a matter of days. Temazepam would be a better sleep medication if available where you live.Best wishes. More info is available on wikipedia.
