Painful tooth: The root canal treatment may be failing, a cap was not placed on the tooth after the root canal treatment thereby not sealing one end of the root canal treatment, the tooth may be fractured, you may have gum/bone issues--malocclusion--and/or pernicious habits. Return to the Dentist who treated you for reevaluation. 2nd opinion by an Endodontist, a root canal specialist, may be in order.
