My daughter is a volunteer at the hospital. what are her risks in er?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Germs, needle sticks: The er can be exciting to work, but common sense rules apply. There are a ton of germs, so she should wash hands/alcohol gel a lot. Avoid touching her eyes, nose and mouth. Watch out for needles, don't "be helpful" and try to pick up scalpes or needles. Leave that to doctor and nurses. Never be alone with a cranky patient, and she should always make sure she's the closest one to the door!
