A member asked:

Will eating sweets cause my blood sugar to drop?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually not: The body has a way of homeostasis or control. There is an interaction of the amount of Insulin released, the response of the tissues and cells and the kidneys to keep blood sugar at certain level not to exceed a limit (140). There is a condition called insulinoma wherein there is exaggerated release of Insulin to bring blood sugar down and if so it has to be diagnosed so it can be treated.
