A member asked:

I read that statins may cause diabetes in some folks? so if a pt's.able to safely stop statins, is there a chance their blood sugar could drop?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Statins: A high cholesterol level should be cared for with statins. If you do not have diabetes you need to carefully control your cholesterol to a point that the level is normal. If you don't you might develop diabetes. You don't want that!
