Will eating candy really cause a noticeable blood sugar drop a short while after intake in a healthy adult?

Generally not: If you eat a very large amount of candy, it can raise you blood sugar slightly, which your body will then attempt to return back to normal if it can. In a totally "normal" person who is not overweight, you should not notice anything whatsoever.
