No: However.. Reptiles can carry other pathogens like salmonella and other bacteria. I, personally, have a Burmese python, and he is one of the cleanest animals I've ever owned. Eats once a week, poops once a month--not in his cage--usually in water.Never smells. Just do research on the animal you like, and also what foods the animal will eat, as some can carry their own diseases.He's a snugglebunny!
