Ibuprofen v Naproxen: Ibuprofen (motrin, nuprin, (ibuprofen) etc) and Naproxen (aleve) are both over-the-counter nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (nsaids). Remember that there are no road signs in stomach directing pain pill directly to some specific site, eg throat. Take one or the other, but not both together (worry about stomach ; kidneys). Acetaminophen (tylenol) isn't an NSAID but can relieve pain. Go see your family doc.
