Need more info: Are you trying to conceive? Are you having obstruction of menstrual flow with build up of menstrual blood (hematometria)? Why is the canal closing...Infection?...Lack of estrogen?...Trauma? These are questions you should ask your doc. If it is a recurrent problem, you would benefit from knowing the cause. Most ob/gyns use a block ; dilators in the office setting...An indwelling catheter is rare.
