A member asked:

My cervix sits lower than it should and many doctors have commented about it, so when i bleed during sex, i know that it's from trauma to the soft tissue. is there anything i can do to prevent bleeding during sex?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cervical bleeding ?: Cervical bleeding aggravated by sexual relations is caused by chronic inflammation, and can be treated effectively with cryotherapy, allowing regeneration of normal mucosal tissue on the cervix (given that the pap smear is normal, without dysplasia, etc.). Ask your gyn physician about cryo (minus 80 degrees centigrade) therapy.
