A member asked:

I have hair pills that have folic acid in them.is it ok for me to take them for trying to get pregnant until i finish the bottle?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Folic acid in preg.: Women need at least 1 mg of Folic Acid per day to minimize the possiblity of birth defects in their children. Ideally the Folic Acid should be taken starting before the pregnancy. I am concerned that the Folic Acid in your supplement would be bioavailable in this case.
