1/2 of a 1 mg!: The recommended dose for neural tube defect prevention in pregnancy is 400 micrograms, or 0.4 mg/milligrams. A 5 mg tablet is 5000 micrograms. You need to find the 400 microgram tablets or find the 1 mg and take 1/2 of that!
